Villa Massei is a 16th century hunting lodge that once belonged to Count Sinibaldi. Almost austere in design, the building is embellished by the loggia behind it, newly restored, and part of the magnificent modern garden at the gates of Lucca that has been created by its two American owners, Gil Cohen and Paul Gervais, since they purchased the property in 1982
