Growing up in the Brazilian city of Sao Paolo, Carlos Miele dreamed of becoming an architect. As an adult, he found his true calling in fashion, and his sweeping gowns in bright, painterly colours, reflect his lifelong interest in the fine arts. But he never abandoned the desire to build his own home and a few years ago, that wish was finally realised, when he designed and built a glass house in Florianopolis, overlooking one of the beaches where he surfed as a young man
